What's the role?

We are looking for an experienced Operations Support Assistant to provide vital support to our engineering resource in the installation and fitting of assets. This is a customer‑focused role dedicated to ensuring engineers attend customer appointments within allocated timeframes. Key responsibilities include coordinating engineer schedules and raising emergency call‑outs for our engineering workforce to attend. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and committed to delivering a high standard of service.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, this full‑time 40‑hour position is based at our Glasgow Head Office.

Please note: Interviews will take place in person at our Glasgow Head Office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Team Leader to maintain operational efficiency, meet KPIs, and submit accurate, timely reports.
  • Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and regional contacts via phone and email, ensuring all enquiries are handled promptly.
  • Manage daily engineering operations, including monitoring the live tracker, overseeing job statuses, and ensuring authority is obtained for emergency attendances.
  • Handle on‑the‑day emergency call‑outs and priority work within SLA timeframes, liaising with other departments to ensure full SLA adherence.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally while adhering to company policies regarding Health, Safety, and Welfare for yourself and others.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • National 5 or equivalent Maths and English
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability
  • Computer Literate, I.T skills, experience with excel/word/ CRM
  • Keen attention to detail, working accurately under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a similar engineer/ logistics role with good geographical knowledge
  • Excellent Customer service experience
